A perfectly done conclusion to an incredible series, but Gabe was different than the others. He's the one who gets attacked at the beginning, usually it's a client the team is paid to protect. Also the dialogue in this one doesn't seem as natural to me as the previous books. The word "appreciate" is used A LOT and to me doesn't capture how truly grateful a person REALLY is. It's also different because Gabe is already crushing on Autumn, so the reader gets a chance to know her in this story as he is.The stakes are definitely higher in this book and they had me guessing throughout, who could possibly hate Blackout and Autumn Spenser THIS MUCH to do THIS much harm? Loved how the rest of the team is involved in Gabe's story, they really are a great group of characters. It really is too bad other SEALs are harmed in Gabe' s story.Can't recommend this series enough, love reading Barritt's work!
